HONG KONG, 15 December 2017: Norwegian Cruise Line is making an adjustment to its final payment schedule for all bookings beginning 18 December, made by travel agents in Australia and New Zealand.

Information on the rescheduled payment rules was released by the cruise line’s vice president sales, Nicole Costantin, in an email newsletter to travel agency and sales partners in the two countries, Thursday.

“To align to a consistent schedule amongst stateroom categories for the majority of itineraries and all seven–night or longer cruise,  bookings will now require final payment 120 days prior to the sail date,” the update read.

One to six-night cruises will require full payment 90 days prior to sail date for non-suite stateroom categories.

Haven and suites category stateroom bookings will continue to require final payment 120 days prior to sail date.

Norwegian Cruise Line’s adjustment to its payment schedule will allow travel partners to receive commissions 30 days earlier than in the past, according to the cruise line’s statement.

Costantin reassured travel agencies that the adjustment would “help simplify the booking experience for you, help ensure that your clients who book early will receive optimal pricing and stateroom choice.”

The change is not relevant to travel agency partners in Asia.
